Mohsena Memorial Foundation (MMF) is a non-profit organization based in Princeton, New Jersey. It is registered in the State of New Jersey as a charitable organization and with the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3). All donations to the foundation are tax-exempt. The Foundation's main activities are teaching, community organizing, and publication. MMF also puts on events from time to time in line with its mission.
The Foundation works to promote a healthy and collaborative relationship between Muslim communities living in the USA and to bridge the gap between American Muslims and their fellow citizens and neighbors. For this purpose, MMF published a monthly newsletter called “Community News & Views” for a period of ten years from 1990 to 2000. Lectures and seminars are arranged for schools, hospitals and churches. Literature is sent out to media, authors, and publishers who produce anti-Muslim articles or literature. During the period of 1987-2002, the Foundation ran a Sunday Islamic school for Muslim children in the Princeton area.
The Foundation most recently inaugurated the MMF Ahlul Bayt Fellowship and awarded its first recipient. To learn more, please see Ahlul Bayt Fellowship
The Foundation also fiscally sponsors the Husayn Center for Social Justice, a social services center that aims to empower the residents of Trenton. More information on that organization can be found here: www.husayncenter.org
